Project English: Writing in Online Contexts

Instructions: The final project for this class will ask you to explore and research some topic of your interest using the internet and interacting with online communities and social networking.

 

Goal: Use online English to research and interact with other English speakers around the world to learn about and share your interests with the class.

 

Step 1: Find a topic - What are you interested in? 

• Hobby

• Skill

• Interest

• Something you like to talk about...

 

This can be almost anything, but it should be something you are interested in. For example, some things I like to talk about/learn about are:

• Music - bands, guitar

• Games - video games, board games

• Sports - basketball, Washington sports

• Movies, TV, & Comics - Science fiction, Fantasy

• Technology - Computers, space

• Research - Language, statistics
